WHAT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION?
The overall recycling rate of steel industry is 66%, the highest of any industry in the country, offering an environmentally sound home framing alternative.
Reduced labor costs: Our Light gauge steel framing can be erected by novice crews and do it yourself builders. Each 10 foot panel weighs less than 100 lbs, so no crane is required. Average erection time for exterior wall panels is usually half a day for a 3-man crew for the average 1500-2000 sq. ft. home.
Flexibility in design: In fact, because of steel's strength you can design your home with larger open spaces. With a steel frame, the walls will remain straight and true and can be finished with the same materials traditionally used.
Easy to finish: You easily attach any surface to our light gauge steel panels by using self drill screws or nails to which exterior and interior finishing materials can easily be attached.
Easy to wire: Punched t electrical and plumbing chases are in every stud so that the wiring of the outer walls can be easily done.
Superior strength: Steel has a superior strength in shearing to withstand seismic and hurricane forces better than any wood stick built design.
Superior Comfort: Light gauge steel homes are cleaner and maintenance free.
