Unlike the builder-grade vinyl siding that is so common today, this high-quality product won't rattle in the wind or sag over time. Available in a variety of popular colors, it is finished with a fused PVC outer coating over a bake-bonded primer. Ready to Install
Steel-Kits's siding packages come complete with fasteners, starter strips, and all necessary trim. The steel siding can be attached to an exterior wall sheathing like plywood, OSB board, or GeorgiaPacific's fireproof Densglass (recommended), but you do not have to use sheathing at all on a Steel-Kits steel home. Wood-framed homes must have sheathing to prevent the walls from "racking" under a shearing force. Steel-Kits's steel framing is engineered to provide sufficient shear strength to the walls without sheathing, so you can attach your siding (or brick ties, etc.) directly to the frame and save the expense of sheathing while meeting your building code requirements.
